Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the position of Guest Lecturer, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Domicile of UT of J&K: Candidates must be residents of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Mathematics: Master’s degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Electrical Engineering:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 55% marks in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution/university.
- OR
- Three Years Diploma with a minimum of 65% marks in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution/university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications.
Application Process
- Application Submission: Applications, along with the necessary documents, must be submitted to the office of the Principal, Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu, by or before 25-02-2025 up to 03:00 PM.

Selection Process
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the following criteria:
- Basic Qualification: 80 points (pro-rata basis)
- Higher Qualification: 5 points
- GATE/NET/SET: 5 points
- Teaching Experience: 5 points (Polytechnic Diploma level or Higher Level) – 01 point for each academic year (pro-rata basis)
- Interaction with the concerned candidates: 5 points
Terms and Conditions
- Remuneration: Selected candidates will be paid Rs. 750/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 20,000/- per month.
- Engagement Period: The engagement of Guest Faculty is purely on a need basis for the current academic session (May-June 2025) or until regular faculty is provided by the Director, Skill Development Department, J&K, whichever is earlier.
- No Claim for Absorption: The engagement does not guarantee absorption in the Department.
- Undertaking: Selected candidates must submit an undertaking/affidavit before joining, stating that they will not claim for continuation of their services and that the agreement can be terminated at any time without notice.
